Happen to see this palm tree all the time, walking here and there., And it impressed me the way the palm shards folded down, when the wind or breeze would blow it would sway back and forth and around, lots like a hula dance. So, I meant her in the field that day and proceeded to paint this watercolor. There was a little breeze and the moments painting seemed magical., Ka’ena point lies in the background., by the sea, another favorite hike. To my chagrin my paints had begun to thicken and were not as flowing as I imagined they would be. I think it still worked out Ok, my model was patient and I just laid the paint on a lot thicker than usual even! Shoots

Originally coming from the Del-Mar-Va Peninsula, another place of tremendous natural beauty, with colorful sky, wetlands and shoreline. The Original artwork shown here is drawn and painted with expressive freestyle palette knife techniques, charcoal and other mixed media. Inspiration comes from the brilliant tropical light,and develops from the native"Mana”and life spirits in the landscapes, rainforest, and reef life here.
